Monday and Friday
i stayed home while Corey stayed at the hospital. I was able to hang out with Cayden for a little while before heading for the hospital. Caitlynn has been doing pretty good all day even taking breaths of her own. Mom and Dad Chen came and visited for a while. The rest of the immediate family came and we went to dinner at Lionshead for the steak special.
Late evening she had had her first episode where her oxygen level went below what seemed like 55or lower? I don’t remember just because it just kept going lower and lower and I started to freak out. A couple of Hours later she did it again but now that low, her blood pressure raised. They felt like she was fighting it too much that the Dr. Decided to paralyze her and give her a muscle relaxant and see how she does overnight. It is now 6pm on Tuesday and she has been doing fine. Her cultures came back and she had an infection from bacteria in the breathing tube. They also did an echo and her heart looks good. I can only imagine what her recovery would be like if she didn’t have this RSV.
They will see how she goes tonight and rake off the paralytic tomorrow.
